MCP Connect

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, OpenClaw, Hermes, and GitHub Copilot to Affinity Connect with MCP

Connect Affinity's MCP tools to your preferred AI workspace. You need an Affinity MCP API token and the MCP URL. The downloadable skill is optional, but it helps assistants use Affinity tools with better context and smoother prompts.

MCP setup

Connect Affinity to your AI workspace.

Answer two questions, copy the MCP URL, and connect with an Affinity MCP API token. The skill is optional; it helps your assistant use Affinity better after the tools are connected.

DOWNLOAD SKILL

Question 1 of 2

Are you Agency, User, or Client?

Pick the access level that matches the person setting up the connector.

What You Need

  • Affinity MCP URL: https://api.v2.affinitydesign.ca/mcp/http
  • API token: an afk_... key with mcp:access, generated by an agency admin or agency representative
  • DOWNLOAD SKILL: install the optional Affinity MCP skill after the connector works

Token Options

Agency operators can use either an Agency MCP master key for trusted internal work across agency-managed connections, or a per-client key from a client's API Keys tab for scoped access. Clients and users should request a token from their agency representative.

Optional Skill

The skill is not required to connect. The API token connects the tools; the skill gives your assistant Affinity-specific operating guidance, naming conventions, and safer default workflows.

Use the skill when:

  • you want better first prompts for website, SEO, CRM, and reporting work
  • your assistant supports local skills or reusable instruction files
  • you are training a team to use Affinity tools consistently

Safety Notes

  • Never paste real API tokens into shared repos, screenshots, or public chats.
  • Ask your assistant to list available tools after connecting.
  • For write-capable tools, ask the assistant to explain the intended change before it acts.
  • If tools are missing, ask the agency admin to check the key's plugin restrictions and mcp:access scope.
